Reviving the Spirit of Blab with Go Brunch
(A Guest Blog Post By Stacy Braiuca)
There’s something magical about the energy of a late-night community hangout.
For those of us who were part of Blab back in 2015-2016, you’ll remember how the platform came alive after dark.
Conversations went from casual to deep, collaboration flourished, and friendships were forged across time zones.
Blab was more than just a platform, it was a place where people gathered to talk about everything from tech and business to life and culture.
We often pulled all nighters without even realizing it.
As Blab veterans many of us have been searching for something that recaptures that sense of community.
Now, I’m excited to share that GoBrunch is that platform, and it brings with it a space that feels like home, the all-night diner we call The Big Happy Biscuit.
Go Brunch: New Platform - Familiar Vibe
Go Brunch offers something special, blending ease of use with the freedom to create open, engaging rooms for learning, collaboration, or just hanging out.
What’s especially unique about Go Brunch is its emphasis on interaction.
Whether you’re leading a session or simply attending, everyone feels connected, just like in the good ol’ days of Blab.
It’s the kind of platform where those spontaneous, unplanned conversations can happen.
The ones that start off as simple check-ins and turn into hours-long discussions that leave you inspired, energized, and thinking differently.
That spirit is alive again, and it’s housed in our new virtual spot.
The Big Happy Biscuit: Our 24/7 Hangout
Just like the iconic all-nighters we used to pull on Blab, The Big Happy Biscuit is the place for GoBrunchers to meet, chat, and connect at any hour of the day or night.
The diner is always open, offering a welcoming space for casual hangouts, brainstorming sessions, or deep dives into the issues that matter most to us.
There’s no set agenda, drop in whenever, and you’ll find friendly faces ready to share ideas, stories, and laughter.
Just like the best late-night spots, the conversation here is fluid, jumping from topic to topic in an atmosphere that’s laid-back and authentic.
Why the All-Nighter Spirit Still Matters
In today’s fast-paced, hyper-scheduled world, it’s easy to forget how much value there is in unstructured time spent in a community.
Blab taught us that some of the best connections happen when you let your guard down.
When the pressure to be perfect fades away, and the conversation just flows naturally.
The Big Happy Biscuit recaptures that spirit for a new era.
It’s a reminder that community is about more than scheduled meetings or set agendas, it’s about showing up, being present, and allowing space for real connection to happen.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
For the Blab OGs who still remember those magical nights, GoBrunch and The Big Happy Biscuit offer a second chance to relive those experiences, with new faces and new conversations.
For those who never experienced Blab, it’s an opportunity to discover the magic of a community that’s not just about networking, but about truly connecting with people.
So whether you’re a night owl, a community builder, or just someone looking for a place to belong, come join us at The Big Happy Biscuit.
The coffee’s hot (virtually, of course), the conversation’s warm, and the community is always here to welcome you in.

WHAT WAS BLAB?
The platform was launched in 2014 and was primarily used for group conversations, interviews, and live Q&A sessions.
Multi Person Livestreaming
Blab allowed up to four people to join a live stream at once, which made it useful for group discussions and interviews.
Interactive Features
Viewers could interact with the hosts and guests by commenting, asking questions, and even joining the stream themselves if invited.
Social Sharing
Blab allowed users to share their live streams on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
Blab automatically recorded all live streams, so users could watch them later if they missed the live broadcast.
The users of Blab dispersed in multiple directions at this point but many would group together again, embracing the “Social Audio” revolution, beginning with Clubhouse & Twitter Spaces in 2020.
